Meridian makes recycling printer cartridges quick, easy

Business - The Idaho Statesman - Always Idaho: "The city of Meridian makes it easy for residents to recycle empty printer cartridges. Since 2000, the city has allowed its residents to set cartridges out by the curb along with their newspapers and aluminum cans.

'We were approached by a cartridge reseller (in 2000), and they said, 'Hey if you collect them, we'll pay you for them,'' said Steve Sedlacek, business manager at Sanitary Services in Meridian. 'It is a commodity that can be easily recycled so, heck, why not do it?'"
