Finished in white and grey, HP Photosmart 7830 is a very nice-looking budget printer and though basic, it has a trick up its sleeve – it’s one of the few printers in this price range that comes with a multi-card reader.

When the printer is connected to a PC, the memory card reader allows you to plug in a compatible storage card and transfer images to your PC.

However, the card reader also works without a PC and although the printer does not come with a colour LCD screen for viewing images on the card, it does have the ability to print out a single sheet of A4 paper showing you thumbnails of the images on the card.
