CORPORATE EXPRESS LAUNCHES ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PROGRAMME

Through the new programme, Corporate Express will carry 650 environmentally friendly products, and will implement in-house initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact. Corporate Express produced its Business Solutions Catalogue, featuring more than 8,000 products, on 100% recycled paper.
To help customers identify and purchase environmentally friendly products, Corporate Express' 2006 Business Solutions Catalogue, which was released in January, has an entire section devoted to environmental products. In addition, the catalogue uses an environmentally friendly icon to denote those products that have a reduced impact on the environment versus similar products in the same category. The same icon is used on Corporate Express' online purchasing site, ExpressOrder.
Some of the 'green' products offered in the catalogue and online include: recycled content paper products, remanufactured toner cartridges, environmentally friendly cleaning products, recycled scissors, natural rubber bands, biodegradable refuse sacks and bin liners, refillable pens and pencils, and rewritable CDs. In addition, these products help customers meet their green purchasing requirements."
